Light without Light Pollution

 

When designing an ecologically-themed pier over the Hudson River, aesthetics and safety are only the beginning steps. Local New York City code to reduce light pollution also dictate what can be used and where. Trevor Lee explains the lengths and process Olin Studio took when designing the lighting on Manhattan's Pier 26.
